My family history resources

Like all families the Staniford tribe is one that is intertwined and wound around many other families. I am a Staniford but also, in a way, a Clare, Gresley-Jones, Bennett, Curwen and many more.

From this page you can fine:

  • An index of my anscestors
  • My grandfather, William H Clare's memoires published (online or as a book)
  • Some great old documents from the home of my Aunty Bet, 141 Beresford Road
  • An mp3 of an interview with my Aunty Bet back in 1993. It talks about her life, times and experiences working in the tabaco industry in the early part of the 20th century
  • Our tenuous links to Queen Elizabeth and George Bush
  • Some photographs of the Clare/Bennett side of the family
